On their latest EP Another Kind Of Freedom, Lemongrab, the Canadian band now based in Berlin, Germany, lay out four tracks that while quite diverse and eclectic still manage to gel perfectly. Opener “Pay To Play” comes blasting out of the speakers with raw, lo-fi punk, and that punk energy is still present on “Necessary Condition,” but is a bit slower and has a very strong Krautrock influence. Shifting in more of a post-punk direction, “Yoko” has a funky groove and a vocal delivery that at times brings to mind Wet Leg, while "No Receipt” closes the EP out and is some really fun, super lo-fi country punk.
